Rotisserie Chicken Seasoning

$4.95

Rotisserie chicken seasoning makes a quick and easy mealtime favorite that’s available at most grocery stores. These fresh-cooked, seasoned, whole chickens are inexpensive and ready to eat. They’re cooked on a rotisserie, which rotates inside a hot oven to ensure all sides are crisp and fully cooked. A dinner of rotisserie chicken can be on the table within minutes. Many people also use rotisserie chicken as a shortcut for recipes that call for cooked chicken, such as soups, casseroles, and chicken salad.

To achieve maximum crispness, the skin must start dry and stay dry – if water is present, it will create steam, which inhibits crisping. For the ultimate crispy skin, start your prep the day before. After quickly rinsing your bird, be sure to thoroughly dry it inside and out with paper toweling.

Description:

A whole chicken needs to be cooked at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes per pound. I cook my chicken at a higher temperature, 400 degrees F, to get that deep golden brown crispy skin, so it should take more like 15-16 minutes per pound. Roasted chicken is a better option because it has lower saturated fats and cholesterol.

Usage:

The sodium content of a rotisserie chicken can vary significantly depending on the preparation. Some chickens may be brined or soaked in a saline (salt) solution before cooking to make them juicier. Others may use a rub or seasoning that contains a lot of salt on both the skin and the innards of the bird. Brining your chicken is a foolproof way to not only add flavour to your roast but also to ensure you don’t overcook the meat. Essentially a mix of this Rotisserie Chicken seasoning is to the brine will make the chicken or any poultry awesome.

Chemical changes occur during cooking. Oven gases in a heated gas or electric oven react chemically with hemoglobin in the meat tissues to give it a pink tinge. Often the meat of younger birds shows the pinkest because their thinner skins permit oven gases to reach the flesh.

In some cases, when chicken is processed, a low-salt solution (less than 1 percent salt) is added to the meat to retain moisture and tenderness and avoid the possible negative effects of overcooking.

To maintain freshness, this spice is shipped in glass bottles. That’s because glass jars can preserve the freshness of spices for up to 2 years. Glass is an awesome option for storing spices because it doesn’t react to ingredients, unlike plastics and wood. Glass doesn’t typically conduct heat and you can see what’s inside to keep track of inventory.

This spice is additive and preservative free !!!!
