Description
Garlic salt gives your food a robust flavor that your guests are sure to love. A combination of course-ground salt and granulated garlic, this blend will deliver a savory taste to many of your signature offerings. Dehydrated garlic has the same familiar taste and nutritional benefits as fresh garlic, but it takes less time to prepare and is simpler to store, making it a perfect choice for your busy kitchen. For a twist on traditional recipes, use this blend in place of regular table salt in your savory dishes.
Actually, this is just garlic powder with salt added to the mixture. It can be made with powder or granulated garlic. The blend is usually 1 part powder to 3 parts salt with an anti-caking agent added. It produces a seasoned salt made of a mixture of dried, ground garlic and table salt. Included is an anti-caking agent (e.g., calcium silicate). In its most basic form, it is made by combining 3 parts salt and 1-part dried powder by volume, or 6 parts salt and 1 part powder by weight.
Description:
Garlic salt is a mixture of powder and table salt, which makes it a seasoning salt. While powder, as explained above, is just dried and ground garlic cloves. Because garlic salt is a mixture of powder and salt, the garlic flavor is more diluted.
Usage:
This salt blend is like an amazingly easy burst of flavor you can add to your food that goes in almost anything (that’s not sweet, of course). I like to add it to eggs, grilled chicken or steak, steamed veggies (like broccoli, asparagus, or cauliflower), baked potatoes and even on sandwiches.
To maintain freshness, this spice is shipped in glass bottles. That’s because glass jars can preserve the freshness of spices for up to 2 years. Glass is an awesome option for storing spices because it doesn’t react to ingredients, unlike plastics and wood. Glass doesn’t typically conduct heat and you can see what’s inside to keep track of inventory.
This spice is additive and preservative free !!!!
