Travel Books

To go from one place to another, as by car, train, plane, or ship; take a trip. Journey in reality or in your mind. A guide book or travel books is “a book of information about a place designed for the use of visitors or tourists”. It will usually include information about the destination. Included are sights, accommodation, restaurants, transportation, and activities. Maps of varying detail and historical and cultural information are often included.

Travel books writing allows readers to escape from their everyday lives and explore new places vicariously. Most people are bored by the mundane things of life, like working at the same place or doing the same work. They want to read about another person’s experience doing something different, travelling to a new place.

Guidebooks contain important sources of information for travelers. It can be assumed that they influence the reader’s choice of tourist sites. Examples are a selection of tourist attractions is presented in the books.
