Description
Deluxe Non-Stick Shish Kabob Set. Includes 6 Non-Stick Skewers and Frame
Deluxe non-stick shish kabob set with a nonstick finish, this shish kabob frame with skewers cooks kabobs in different ways. Both slots and holes line each side of the frame. The quickest cooking method is to load the six 13-1/2-inch skewers with chunks of meat and/or vegetables and lay them on top of the frame in the designated slots.
To prevent kabobs from sticking, rub olive oil onto the hot grates before you put the kabobs on the grill. Soak a paper towel with olive oil, hold the towel in a set of tongs and rub the oil all over the grilling surface. The skewers are then rotated by hand while the frame stays in position. The second method is to insert a skewer part-way into a hole on the side, push it through the desired chunks of food, then insert the pointed tip into the hole across the frame. This way the entire frame can be flipped over at once.
Place kabobs on grill over medium heat. Cover grill; cook 10 to 15 minutes, turning kabobs 2 or 3 times and brushing chicken and vegetables with reserved 1/4 cup sauce mixture. During last 5 to 8 minutes of grilling, until chicken is no longer pink in center. Marinating the meat not only imparts loads of flavor, but it also tenderizes it so every bite is juicy and delicious. And since beef kabobs cook quickly on the grill, they are great for summer entertainment!
Grilling consistently over medium heat is better than using high heat. You’ll get tough, burned, or scorched pieces above 400F. This set keeps food away from the surface of the grill. Delicate foods like fish can be kabobbed without sticking and falling into the fire.
Cooking times:
Meats, such as chicken and beef, need 12-15 minutes total.
Fish, shellfish, and vegetables require about 10 minutes.
Measuring 13 by 10-1/4 inches when open for grilling, the frame conveniently folds in half by means of a hinge for compact storage. The nonstick finish makes clean-up easy. To ensure longevity of the finish, washing by hand is recommended.
