Some discourage using a fork because you risk puncturing your meat and letting valuable moisture and flavor escape. We use forks for moving and placing food items on the grill. It is recommended this be hand washed and dried due to the Rosewood handle. The best way to sanitize the spatula and other utensils that handle the raw meat is to use a dishwasher. Most dishwashers have a “sanitize” option that uses the highest temperature.

Rosewood is a durable hardwood if it is dried adequately. It is one of the hardest woods, with a hardness equivalent to teak. In general, timber from the Dalbergia (rosewood) genus has high resistance against heat transfer, rot, and termite attack.
