Description

The Cuisine of Hawaii is a fusion of many foods. Those foods were brought by immigrants to the Hawaiian Islands, particularly of American, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Polynesian and Portuguese origins. We have crafted a rub called Hawaiian Express – 32oz that encompasses them all.

This rub can be applied to the meat and taken directly to the grill or allowed to soak into the meat over time and then grilled. You can also use this rub at Luau’s where traditional foods are served. Those foods include pork, poi, salmon, tropical fruits, and taro chips. The dehydrated fruits release their flavors into the meat when you let it sit a while and that’s how we use it.

Our recommendation for this mixture is on pork, poultry, and seafood. Sprinkle it on, let it sit a while, and onto the smoker. During long smokes, the natural juices from the fruit make their way into the meat. A tenderizing happens and when low and slow cooking makes the meat falls off the bone. We make this blend using dehydrated fruit along with other spices.

And VERY important, this product is additive and preservative free so you taste the seasoning and the food !!!!! The shape of the bottles makes it easier to hold on to especially if you have wet hands. It’s harder to tip over if someone bumps into it, and definitely will not roll around like some bottles. Hungarian Paprika, Raw Sugar, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Oregano, Sea Salt, Dried Pineapple, Dried Mango, Dried Papaya, Dried Peaches, Dried Oranges, White Pepper, Ginger Powder, & Makrut Lime

Because we use ZERO additives and sugars, this rub will clump so we highly recommend adding a mortar and pestle. When purchasing 2 or more of our large bottles we toss in a mortar and pestle at our cost and for your convenience.
