Music is an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms. This happens through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color. In the creative community of musicians, music books are the medium ideas are translated from mind to paper to production.

Book musicals are likely what comes to mind when you think of a ‘traditional’ musical. The name comes from the literal ‘book’ (usually called the ‘libretto’ in opera) that features the script, lyrics and anything else needed to link the score and story that the show is trying to tell.
